Soprano Shannon Kauble holds a Master's of Music degree in vocal performance from California State University, Fullerton. She previously attended the University of Southern California Thornton School of Music, earning Bachelor’s degrees in both piano and vocal performance. Shannon has sung in productions with Long Beach Opera, Euterpe Opera Theater, Lyric Opera of Los Angeles, and Opera of the Foothills (Pasadena). In Spring of 2006, Shannon performed as a soloist in a Gershwin-themed youth concert with the Pacific Symphony. She has performed the role of Countess (The Marriage of Figaro), and Gianetta (Gondoliers) at California State University, Fullerton. Partial roles performed at CSUF include Baby Doe (Ballad of Baby Doe), and Suor Angelica (Suor Angelica). Additionally, she has performed partial roles like 1st Lady (Die Zauberflöte), Susannah (Le nozze di Figaro),and Konstanze (Die Entführung Aus Dem Serail) with outside organizations. She has learned and thoroughly coached the entire role of Pamina (Die Zauberflöte) with Pro Voce Studios and has performed scenes from the opera. In 2008 she was a Stern's Fellow at SongFest and was also a recipient of a scholarship at OperaWorks where she completed the 4-week intensive program. She has also won various music competitions and has been a recipient of several vocal scholarships. She studies voice with Patricia Prunty.
In addition, Shannon maintains a private piano and voice studio. She is an associate member of National Association of Teacher's of Singing and an active member of the Music Teacher's Association of California. For the past few years she has served as an evaluator for the Certificate of Merit program. |
